How Omni Scale collects, uses, and protects your personal information, in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Who we are
Omni Scale ("we", "us") is an AI consulting firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through www.omniscale.ca and when you contact us. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Questions about this policy or your information can go to our privacy contact at info@omniscale.ca or +1 (236) 888-7878.
Information we collect
- When you request a demo or consultation: your name, work email, and company, and, if you choose to provide them, your website, the topics you're interested in, and a message. If you used our ROI calculator, we also receive the estimate and inputs you entered, plus the page you sent the form from.
- When you download a guide: your work email, first and last name, and company, and, if you choose to provide it, your company size and whether you'd like occasional emails from us.
- When you email or call us: the information you choose to share.
- When you browse the site: we use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand visits in aggregate, such as pages viewed, the referring site, approximate location, and device and browser type. It doesn't use cookies. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Please don't include sensitive information, such as health or financial details, in our forms.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange a demo or consultation.
- To send the guide you requested and follow up with you about it.
- To send occasional guides and insights, only if you've asked to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prepare proposals and deliver our services if you become a client.
- To understand how our website is used, improve it, and keep it secure.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Your consent
When you submit a form, you agree that we may use the information you provide for the purposes described for that form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@omniscale.ca, subject to any legal or contractual limits. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to respond to your request or provide a service. We only send marketing emails to people who have agreed to receive them, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Service providers and where information is stored
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our website and business. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts our website and processes form submissions |
| Google Workspace | Our email, including notifications of new form submissions |
| Ahrefs | Website analytics, without cookies |
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it's there, it's subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its authorities as those laws allow.
When you become a client, information shared during a project is handled under the terms of our services agreement with you.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and guide-download information for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or ask us to delete it sooner. Client records are kept for as long as needed to deliver our services and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limiting access to the people who need it, and choosing reputable providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, how it has been used, and to whom it has been disclosed, and you can ask us to correct it. Email info@omniscale.ca and we'll respond within the time required by law, generally 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
